Drops for babies to support lactose digestion (lactase enzyme), 7 ml
Intended use:
The main foods for babies are milk, dairy products, breast milk and infant formula, which contain a complex sugar called LACTOSE. Lactose is composed of the simple sugars galactose and glucose.
LACTASE is an enzyme naturally produced by the human body. It is needed to break down complex milk sugars into simple sugars, thereby supporting their absorption by the body.
Excess gas forms in the large intestine because the amount of lactase enzyme naturally produced by the baby is insufficient to process the lactose consumed with milk. This is known as temporary physiological lactase deficiency. The baby feeds on milk but has difficulty digesting its lactose. The undigested lactose ferments and produces excess gas.
Adding the lactase enzyme to the baby's food supports and improves the breakdown of lactose and helps the body absorb it. ABOCOLIKEN has a beneficial effect on gastrointestinal digestive function and helps prevent colic.
ABOCOLIKEN contains dill and chamomile – herbs known since ancient times for their beneficial effect on the gastrointestinal tract.
Other ingredients: carriers: glycerol, purified water
Directions for use: 5 drops /0.22 mg/ ABOCOLIKEN Add to breast milk or infant formula at every feed. Once you have ensured that the food is at a suitable temperature, shake the bottle vigorously and begin feeding.
If the baby's lactose intolerance is very pronounced, the number of ABOCOLIKEN drops added at each feed may be increased to a maximum of 10 drops per 125 ml of milk or breast milk.
Duration of use: until 4 months of age or until the colic subsides.
