Nosko® STERILE 3% HYPERTONIC SODIUM CHLORIDE SOLUTION in vials is a solution of sea salt and purified water* that reduces swelling of the nasal mucosa and facilitates breathing. Owing to its increased sodium chloride concentration of 3%, the hypertonic solution promotes the osmotic mobilisation of secretions from the lower respiratory tract, thins nasal secretions and reduces the microbial load, thereby lowering the risk of complications following colds and influenza. Its use helps prevent drying of the bronchial mucosa.
Hypertonic solution is an integral part of the treatment regimen for upper respiratory tract infections in children and adults.
It is used for nasal congestion, a runny nose and colds, and in patients with sinusitis. Through osmosis, the higher sodium chloride concentration draws out more fluid, thereby reducing mucosal oedema and swelling.
Nosko® STERILE HYPERTONIC SOLUTION is suitable for prolonged use and has no known side effects. Do not mix with other medicinal products.
